Wilson's ProStaff ROK could be called a retro or throwback racquet. There are no bells and whistles, just the basic ingredients for a true player's racquet. 

One retro feature is the lack of Wilson's swing/stiffness index number in the racquet name, similar to the ProStaff Original Mid (now ProStaff 6.0 85). 

Wilson officially rates the ROK at a 6.0 SI. This is a control-oriented racquet, designed for hard-hitting players. In addition to the smaller (93 square-inch) head, the ROK has a lower frame flex (60). The dense (18x20) string pattern further enhances control but requires players to generate their own spin. Despite its full-heft, the ROK retains impressive mobility, enabling players to generate the necessary racquet head speed on groundstrokes and serves. The result is a classic blend of control, stability and feel in a midsize racquet. 

Best suited for advanced players with established strokes and full, fast swings who are seeking maximum control and a cushioned response.
